Had a similar issue on my 22" screen, with geometric objects losing all
proportions. Not sure about illustrator or other softwares, but in 3Ds max u can
counter this by changing the display driver setting to "software" instead of
"OpenGL". If you have a display/graphics card then u can use the driver at
"direct 3D".

Need a response:

LCD monitors above 22" are more often 16:9 aspect ratio rather than the usual
4:3. I cannot find a single 4:3 monitor over 22". While it is good for DVD
playback, I found it stretches everything to fit the screen. A circle drawn
using 2D (illustrator, AutoCAD) or 3D (Solidworks, Inventor) programs looks like
an ellipse. Is there a way around this?
