first Pecha Kucha Night. (PKN Pune Vol.1) on October 23, 2009.  Venue and

`Pecha Kucha’ or PKN as it is better known across the world, is a presentation
format in which creative work can be easily and informally shown by any
individual. The name is derived from a Japanese term for the sound of
conversation or ‘chit-chat’. The idea here is to say or show something
interesting or our experience in a creative way.

PKN was devised in 2003 by Klein-Dytham Architecture (KDa), a Tokyo-based firm
as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
Today, PKN is organised in over 245 cities around the globe, and has become a
platform for all individuals from different walks of life, to share their work,
creativity and experiences. Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for
20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next
presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and
gives more people the chance to show.

We at Sarvasva have an exclusive 'handshake' with KDa to bring and organise
Pecha Kucha Nights in Pune. The first Pune PKN brings together architects,
artists, designers, entrepreneurs, journalists and more, on a single platform.
