I hope that was a mistake. :)

Other than that, nice to know that we may have a better future. And regarding the other thread... just wondering... is there any source for info as to how many of the socially responsible products (read the 'can radio' from Papanek et al) have sold (or continue to sell) in this world that we live in? And how many actually use it as it is to be used? Would be interesting to know, I think.

hi all,
congtaulations to all the winners at the NID-BW awards.
I am waiting for Gina to put up the list of winners here (there were
many)...but this is what iremember after yesterdays freezing nite in
front of beautifully lit Kutub minar (i saw it for the first time!!!)

Michael Foley is the designer of the year....and guess what-
Minister Kamal Nath gave the big prize himself...(more about him in
the next mail, but just to let you know- I think yesterday at the
inauguration of the Design Summit in the morning at Vigyan Bhawan-
Dr. Koshy managed to change the face of Design in India, via the
minister. The monister said the word design in his speech and said
it so well. I have asked Pradyumna if he can post the ministers
speech here...believe me we witnessed what history may call the
calling day for design in India. Thank you Dr.and NID and all those
who have been adding to this)

Anthony Lopez got he best graphic design award for the pragati
calendar. (he beat my favourite project to it, but congrats i think
calendar deserved it)

Satish got the best medical equipment award for L&T.

i dont remember the long list..do check the nxt Business world..its
only 5 rs. and anyway i will scan and put it up here.

Oh yes..after Minister put all his words behind a design policy for
india and i know Dr. koshy is not a man who will let the minister be
till it becomes a reality...it feels like a new dawn... really.
