Yes, Raja, it is nice to say sometimes that I exist.
I had been to this temple in Varanasi, and after
walking through a length of dirty wet corridor found
myself inside and there were these idols on the wall
worn by millions of people touching them. And as i put
my hand on one of them, i felt that connection - that
I too exist and am part of these millions of hands
before me. and the dirt and wet receded.
Maybe it is this sense of connection that is the crux
of design activity - this sense of having added a
word, a syllable, a moment of warmth to the language
of things.
