Suresh Sethi from Bombay, a very senior product designer is reviving
SIDI.
he had called asking if i can unite the Pune Chapter and collect fee
for SIDI, which in turn will help SIDI revive the ICSID membership.
So whoever is interested in SIDI should get in touch with suresh.
Suresh had unsubscribed to this egroup...as he was getting lot of
junk mails.
I have had some very basic questions- and i am asking them very
earnestly- How does ICSID or ICOGRADA relate to an average Indian
professional designer?
We need a design body to keep us involved, engaged in each other and
may be at an appropriate time involve us collectively with the world.
At this stage very few of us are connected internationally, and can
draw value from the learnings from ICSID and ICOGRADA. perhaps SIDI
can be the platform which does that magic.
send your views. My view is SIDI is dead...let it be dead...if we
need to put efforts..let us create something new, which is non
chapter based..more open..and democratic.

sudhir
