this is a great idea for india.
the plastic bag situation is really horrendous for the
environment.
one thing i can share from living in a very
environmentally conscious country, sweden, is that
here, the grocery stores charge various amounts for
various sizes of plastic bags, if you choose to use
them from the store. i think this is a great way to
cut down on excessive plastic bag usage. for the
budget/environmentally conscious, it makes them take
their own bags/reuse...before 'buying' a bag each time
they shop.
