Hi Giovanni,

the pathlines you see are pathlines calculated on a 3D velocity field
projected to the current slice. You don't see which ones leave the
layer and which stay in the layer. However, you can use 3D particle
tracking via 3D options - Pathlines to see the pathlines in 3D and
project them both vertically and horizontally.
