Thank you, Gabriel.
From far away Australia, you agreed to it. I Dont know if today, there are more people speaking Portuguese in Daman than in Goa.
I doubt. But that number must not be the reason of my suggestion that Daman and Dio MUST have their own "EPISODES'. Both of them have HISTORY AND FOLKLORE of their own....their PERSONALITY
Those who have visited Daman must have seen a few metres after the gate of the Fortaleza, a" BOARD "AQUI VIVEU BOCAGE"!!
Do we know where Camoes lived in VELHA GOA? I DONT think so.
Their "ladainhas" in front of the Crosses in the evenings are something unique even in their pronunciation of the Portuguese:It sounds like this " Aváa mariaah...cha di graçaa.."
For all these reasons, I repeat
, Daman and Dio must not be projected in the Episodes, like two horses...or bullocks..or camels ....or donkeys..., pulling the GOLDEN COACH of the "GOA DOURADA".
RTP.I must respect their PERSONALITY.Will it ?
The group of CONTACTO GOA must look into it.

I think you have a point, Fernando. More so because
the Portuguese spoken in Damao is peculiar to Damao
(and somehow similar to that spoken in Brasil, from
what I gather), and surprisingly, I read a few years
ago on O Expresso I think, that there are more
portuguese speakers today in Damao than in Goa.
And of course, the Dec 1961 battle was more pronounced
in Diu than anywhere else in the Estado da India
Portuguesa, not only with the loss of the Vega and its
entire crew, but also I think (have read somewhere)
that the might of the Indian army was held at bay for
quite a few hours by a few soldiers.
Cheers,
Gabriel.
