The news that follow are not the dream of the Founding Fathers of our Constitution, was  not the Dream of the FATHER OF OUR NATION,Mahatma Gandhi, was not the dream of your grand- father-in-law Jawaharlal  Nehru. YOU, Madam, as the successor of those stalwarts ,those Defenders of the Religious Unity of our Motherland,as President of A.I.C.C.must intervene in this action being planned by the Mumbai Muncipal Council to dammage not one but TWO very famous institutions in Bandra.Are you going to permit? Are you going to smear your present brilliant polical career keeping indirent and mum so

  smear your workwide reputation.?

So do  defend the Catholics of Bombay.You know the ways and means.

This is the appeal of a Goan Catholic totally unknown to you,but trusting that you will” lend thy ears” to me and act.And so maintain the traditions of India mentioned above.

I feel confident that you will not betray them.

I don’t end by saying” GRACIAS” as in your Italy, because I feel it is your duty

Mr.Berard Pinto Pereira, to spraed world wide these news detailed above.:the Bombay Municipal Council is planning to destroy part of those two  CATHOLIC Churches and Schools( where generations of pupils of ALL the religions,have studied.For what? To widened the Hill Road for the more space for the Traffic.

Is this an act of “charity” or a typical anti- Cristian attitude?

The Goan dailies are packed with the news of the most nonsensical initiave of our Govt with the support of the Central Govt.But you will certainly agree with me that more important than that are these news that are going to dammage two Churches and two Schools in Bandra.

Please be worthy of your name and reputation and join the protest.

No less important is this appeal to you,You can pray to HOLY SPIRIT to guide the BMC to withdraw from this action.They are OUR Churches, They are OUR Schools

I understand that on the day to be fixed Catholics and citiziens of all the Credes are going to form a WALL around the two institutions to defend it physically against the Bull dozers of the BMC

THE BOMBAY CATHOLIC SABHA

 

Dear Sabhaites / Friends,

 

The Bombay Catholic Sabha along with like minded Groups have convened  an emergency meeting to take a stand against the demolition  notices issued to the St Andrew’s Church, St Peter’s Church, St Stanislaus School and the Parsi Agiary on Hill Road, Bandra [which are all heritage structures holding the highest  sanctity for  all communities] by the Bombay Municipal Corporation.  

 

We will prepare a plan of action to prevent this unjustified move on the part of the BMC disregarding the religious sentiments of the people.

 

 

Date:  Tuesday, November 28.

 

Time: 7.00 p.m.

 

Venue: St Michael’s Auditorium, L.J. Road, Mahim.

 

As the matter is serious it is necessary to act  promptly  in the matter.

 

All are requested to attend .
