You can look at some of the PhD thesis at lib. of UOW.
You can also look at complementary approach developed
by Morton and some of the other research work
conducted by researchers at Dep. of civil engineering-
Melbourne and Monash Uni.

In addition the following thesis may be useful as
well.

Modelling,, PhD Thesis Dept. Civil & Mining
