Dear All,
Your help is very much required to go ahead with my project.
I am doing aproject on Mesoscale Hydrological Modelling Using VIC (Variable
Infiltration Capacity).
I have download the latest version VIC(4.0.5) compiled it in RH Linux 8 with
GCC. The 'make model' command worked very well giving me a list of files it
generated. However when I tried running the vicNl -g command it came out with a
reply "bash: vicNl -g command not found".
I was trying to work with the sample files that you have provided in the
website. The command was also accordingly modified as vicNl -test_global, but it
did not work.
The sample files were copied to the same directory as that of the model. I have
the linux installed in a Pentium III machine with 256 MB ram and 15 GB harddisk
space. Do I need to make any changes to the coding so that it runs well with my
system? I am not a good programmer you know, so really need your advice.
Another doubt I have is that I am working on a tropical area with no snow cover.
If I do not provide those snow realted parameters in the model will it still
work or that I need to simply create an ascii file for snow parameters with some
irrelevant value of 0 or so? Please do advice in this regard as well.
Thanks in advance,
