stress periods with different conductivities   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #187 of 727 |

Hello.
I have been trying to create a MODFLOW-2000 (not Visual)simulation
containing 2 stress periods, each period with a different input map of
hydraulic conductivities. This scenario represents, for example, the
original aquifer (1st period) and the aquifer after the introduction
of a permeable barrier (2nd period).
However, I could not find the way to define the matrix of K (hydraulic
conductivity) per stress period. It seems that the matrix of K is
defined once for the entire simulation??
Thank you for any ideas from users.
Paulo

Phemsi, I think your scenario will represent two different geologic materials with peculiar intrinsic properties. Hence, I suppose this will require two...

Thank you very much Olayinka, I guess I should use 2 separate simulations... I would like to set up the second simulation so that the end results of simulation...

Dear Phemsi, I think if you have 2 separate simulations, then their input files will have to be read distinctly. For you to have the output of one simulation to...

This should be normally the process with MODFLOW. Success, R. Vazquez -- Raul Vazquez Z, Ph.D. MSc. Eng. On leave from: Katholieke Universiteit Leuven ...
