Hash, I saw your question about importing top and bottom layers for your
groundwater model. Although I'm not highly familiar with PMWin's GUI, I thought
you may be interested to know about a new program that hit the market a few
months ago called HydroGeo Analyst. It's a great system for developing ALL your
model input data and acts as a "conceptual model builder" for any groundwater
modeling package. Since you are currently dealing with model input issues, you
may wish to streamline the process with HydroGeo Analyst.

Here are some features that would be of interest to you. You can...

- Analyze & Develop Your Conceptual Model of the Groundwater System
- Manage & Maintain Consistency of Model Input Data for Each Project (Units,
Projections, etc.)
- Produce Basemaps for use in any groundwater model (Raster, CAD, ESRITM Shape)
- Query & Review Analytical Lab Data or Hydrogeologic Data (QA/QC)
- Interpret & Create Model Layers Directly From Your Borehole Data - A MAJOR
TIME SAVER!
- Digitize Model Properties for use in any groundwater model (Streams, Recharge
Zones, Initial Concentrations, Head Elevations, etc.)
- Visualize Model Results in HydroGeo Analyst's GIS Map Manager (Concentration
Contours, etc.)

There is a small article about HydroGeo Analyst and groundwater model input at
http://www.waterloohydrogeologic.com/software_news/vmod/vmod_hga_news.htm .
Note: This discusses HydroGeo Analyst as it pertains to Visual MODFLOW however
it should give you an overall impression on how to create and import your data
to your PMWin model.

For technical details or to download a free demo of HydroGeo Analyst, visit
http://www.waterloohydrogeologic.com/software/Hydrogeo_Analyst/Hydrogeo_analyst_\
ov.htm

Again, though I'm not familiar with PMWin, I hope this information will help you
with creating and importing your data.

Sincerely,

Martin Draeger

input is highly appreciated.
