Dear Mr. Chopde:
Our company developed Watershed Assessment Model (WAM) to model water and
water quality land source production and basinwide movement, including land
surface, groundwater, and stream reaches. The model produces daily time
series and annual average grids for the basin.
WAM would be appropriate if you are interested in analyzing sources and
fates of water and constituents and would like to be able to look at
temporal or spatial details. Being process-based, WAM is useful for
analyzing management and structural alternatives.
If you are interested in a fairly basic water balance analysis, WAM might be
overkill. Every model is good for something and no model is good for
everything.
Regards,
Barry
