Dr.L.Elango, Head, Department of Geology, Anna University is going to conduct
training programme entitled "DST sponsored Advance training programme on
Mathematical Modelling in Hydrogeology-Numerical Simulation of Groundwater Flow
and Solute Transport" on 07 - 30 November 2005.
Details :
Applications are invited for the Advanced-training programme on Mathematical
Modelling in Hydrogeology-Numerical Simulation of Groundwater Flow and Solute
Transport sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of
India. This programme includes training in theoretical and practical aspects of
Hydrogeology, Groundwater flow equations, Numerical Methods, Groundwater
Modelling,Groundwater modelling software and Field visit to study the
Hydrogeological Problems. Invited lectures on; Basics of numerical methods,
Conceptual Modelling and Applications, Designing the groundwater model, Solute
transport modelling, Inverse modelling, Models of GMS and GIS applications will
be delivered by experts. Interested researchers/faculty and scientists should
submit their applications with biodata and e-mail address, through proper
channel to the co-ordinator of the training programme. Current research
activities are to be indicated in the application. Applicants should be below
the
age of 35 years. In case of SC/ST and women applicants, five years of age
relaxation are applicable. The last date for receiving the applications is 10
October 2005. Selected candidates will be informed by 17 October 2005.
Participants are eligible for TA/DA as per DST rules. The interested
participants for attending the programme should send their biodata to the Course
Co-ordinator, preferably by e-mail.
