Ajanta, I am a Professor at the Dept. of Civil and Environmental Eng of
Escuela Politécnica Nacional of Quito, Ecuador, South America. My Ph. D.
research dissertation dealt with Scale Effects in Determining Snowmelt from
Mountainous Basins using a Distributed Approach for Snow Water Equivalence
and Radiation, and a Point Snowmelt Model. I am now concern about snow/ice
depletion in our ice cape mountains and the impresive rate of melting.... do
you know (or our friends in the network) of any study on the feasibility of
changing these melting patterns? Or maybe in way to gaing solid
precipitation of mountains?
Regards,
Remigio
