Dear Behzad,
The normal method that I know of is : measure rainfall outside and within
the canopy-the difference is intercepted by the canopy. The stem flow from
the tree can also be measure by intercepting the water at the main trunk
and divert it into a collection tank.

Dear Friends,
I am looking for conventional and new methods of interception(rainfall)
measurement, especially new methods.
can anybody help me in this matter (with references)?
Likewise, I if you know any references about the amount of rainfall which
diverted by tree leaves or canopy, please let me know.
Best wishes,
Regards,
Behzad
