Help to modelize an unconfined then becoming confined aquif   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #599 of 727 |
Hi to the members of this group.
That's my first post ever here !

I'm performing a preliminary research concerning the possibility to
modelize a chalk aquifer unconfined in its west part, then becoming
confined in its East part.

At this day, I have not found any serious reference describing such a
problem. Obviously, I would tend to a simplistic (?) approach
involving strong contrast in storage coefficient between the two
areas.

How to treat this type of configuration with ModFLow ?
Does anybody knows a reference (article, book,...) dealing with this
problem ?

Thanks a lot to answer.

Best regards

Fabrice
