Hi arie,

I also did validation of Climate Prediction Center's rfe_v2.0 (0.1 degree
resolution) over Nepal region in the central Himalaya and the result was
grossly underestimation by the satellite product and very few overestimation
during winter season when rainfall amount is not that significant.
I suggest you try to validate in a seasonally basis and regrid the data to
half degree resolution and see the results.
