Re: [iimapgpx200910] Re: Question about placements

There will always be apprehensions for a new course. As long as it is IIM's i am not much worried. Obviously there will be inclination towards continuing in IT both from the companies and me as I dont want to lose the 11 years experience. As it is if I worry about this now, I will not be able to do justice to the interview. I am also applying for INSEAD and LBS to keep other options open.

Suggestion: Check for "PGPX" profiles in linkedin.
Not a very promising story.

Thanks for the reply. I know it is a dangerous question :-) I have
asked it even before I applied for PGPX. As you say, it is not a
question anyone seems to be interested in answering accurately.

I am not letting it affect my interview prep. But, we are all
curious, right? :-)

On a serious note, when people with 8-10 yrs of exp are taking time
off for PGPX, I think they should be given this info. After all, the
roles we can expect post PGPX can be as great an incentive as the
salary increases.

Probably u can become consultant in McKinsey etc. Salary expectation
should not be more than 25-30 for 9-10 yrs exp.
