My interview was on 19th at IIMA campus.. Totally there were around 40
applicants on 19th.I was interviewed by Panel-3. 3 prof/panel. first
asked me to show the certificates. Then asked me to tell abt myself.
few questions on my role, why MBA now. Then they gave me a quote and
asked me to comment on that for 3 mins. This took me by surprise and I
was blank . I did answer but could not convince the panel. Then the
presentation. I was asked to present in 3 mins.. Further the
discussion was on investment in india, pros and cons, govt policies,
investment in my sector ( Commodities -Metals), future growth. Asked
abt my views on US credit crisis, possible impact on my sector &
indo-us N deal. Few Qs on finance terms. Discussed abt my EC.
Interview lasted for abt 25-30 mins. Profs were very cordial, However
I felt it was little bit of stress interview. Whenever I was going
away from topic and try to drive the interview towards me, profs
politely asked me to come back to topic.Overall I am not sure how I
did? But could not do much to my own expectation. The best thing is to
be yourself. Professors are able to see through you.
Met some present PGPX students, visited campus and housing.
Infrastructure is good and IIMA is very serious abt making this a good
course. However this year also total no. of seats offered are 80 only.
