Here is a small scrap of software which I want... may be you want to do this...

- It should track of how many number of bytes I uploaded and downloaded on a particular system.

- Should show me the stats for every hour, day, month

- Should save the data for couple of months.. and let me track that..

- Offcourse it should be a background process recording the data flow..

- Easy to use interface OR command line.. anything would do... (for checking the data it recorded).

Let me know if you are doing it.. or send me the software after you do it...

Hi,

I got a lot of emails with headers like 'Picturs' and 'Thanks'. Its has attachments with different names. It is actually a Virus named blackmal which began infecting computers from around 17th jan 2006.

THis virus deletes the antivirus programs installed on your system like norton, macfee etc. It spreads by automatically sending itself to all the email addresses in the address book of the infected computer.

I would suggest .net. It is a more efficient and better way of doing things than JAVA. and the developments in this area have been rapid. If you know OOPS then .net is Ideal. Choose C# as you default language

try to download update defination file in .exe format and then run it to update your anivir defination

Dear Chandrakant,

I can give you some pointers on you query :

1) You can simulate any protocol using Interfaces( Eg: Java and Java
swing). For eg : You can take Routing Information Protocol(RIP). You
should use algorithms to simulate(like..Distance vector algorithm).
The project(the intetrface which you have developed using swing)
should show case how a message is transferred from source to
destination in the shortest path(based on the algorithm).

2)As you are looking for Network security side,  you can encrypt and
decrypt messages using different methods available.It would be a
fantastic job, if u develop your own algorithm to encrypt.

3)You can also develop concurrent version control system.

Also, if you look at case studies in various books related to the
mentioned topic, you can get some ideas.

i m doing a project on image compression..... i have transformed it into blocks and apllied dct.... now i need to apply low pass filter... i dont get proper info on it.... it is eliminating high frequency components...can anybody give some idea

As u r from electronics dept,i think u can do projects on

robotonics...etc....U can also build a WLAN in ur college ...it would be a great experience.....take help from some CSE students and go ahead.....

             i am unable 2 update my nortan anti virus 2004 edition
antivirus definations.when i am trying 4 it,it is giving that it could
