VMT Reading both the poems in Hindi ,the language in which they were originally written is really a great pleasure. I had already read the English translation of the 'Maha visphot' and as Gene rightly pointed out the poem powerfully communicates basic human emotions taking clues-symbols from Nature/Universe in a language hitherto unfamiliar in Indian poetics. The second poem ,'Bodhi vriksh ke neeche'[Under the wisdom/wishing tree] is even more powerful in projecting a technology dependent world of dystopia like our own where the all sorts of pleasure could be achieved only and only through many easily available gadgets.The poem could be labeled an sf poem as it reminded me of many scenes as depicted in the dystopia that was 'the brave new world ' by Huxley .
