Indian scientists have identified over 300 plants having potential
ofpetro crops. Central pollution control board has also recommneded
plants like Calotropis which is available in many parts as weed. In
Vidarbha common weed Cassia tora is in use as biodiesel source. Many
Cassia species are available in North East. Introduction of any exotic
plant specially its large scale plantation will result in permanent
damage to ecosystem. Jatropha is having very bad record in terms of
weed. Hence it must be stopped. By prmoting local biodiesel sources you
can achieve the target of development of ecofriendly biodiesel.

Are you aware that in Nagpur researchers are producing Biodiesel from
plastic waste. Why not our planners are thinking on this important
aspect. We are already having this waste in bulk.
