There is wide scope and prospects in agricultural farming particularly for exporting many products like Mango, Chiku, Processed fruits, some spices, and some herbal/medicinal products from Gujarat . It is said the future of economy is in agriculture. You must have heard that Reliance Industries also ventures into farming in large scale basis. So in my mind, the question popped up “Though the RIL core competency is in oil and gas, why doesn't it go into Jatropha
cultivation?" I request all economist and planners and management expert to think "Are we going in right path by promoting Jatropha cultivation?" I think we can go into research aspect of Jatropha but can't promote or recommend Jatropha cultivation for our farmers. In this stage, promotion of Jetropha cultivation is misleading the farmers of India
