Dear Group Members,
On 28 March 2007 I delivered a lecture on Negative aspects of
Jatropha and its impact of traditional farming in workshop organised
by Adhar, Balangir and Vasundhara, Bhubaneshwar, India. Very soon I
will send full report. These organisations have translated my Enlish
articles into Oriya language and published small booklet. During
workshop I got full support as like other parts of India common people
of Orissa are also against poisonous Jatropha. After my lecture they
assured me that they will spread the message in every corner and
suggest the others to uproot and destroy this poisonous plant, curse
for traditional farming and biodiversity. In other countries also, I
am aware that common people are opposing this plant but few planners
are showing their socalled 'intellect' to destroy the natural wealth.
