13 children taken ill after consuming jatropha seeds

KULITHALAI: Thirteen children, including 10 girls, took ill after they
inadvertently consumed jatropha seeds on Wednesday. They were
discharged on Thursday after treatment. Sources said several children
in the village complained of nausea in the evening and were taken to
the Kadavur Primary Health Centre. Investigations revealed that the
children, all students of the Panchayat Union Primary School at East
Ayyampalayam, had consumed jatropha seeds.
