Welcome to the Kerala Kidney Site

This site is a private initiative to provide support for kidney patients in the Kerala State. I intend to gather information from various corners about kidney related matters and present them here. I also intend to promote discussions on providing support to the hapless patients.

Kidney diseases shatter the life of patients and their families. The patient faces a slow death or painful existence with very expensive life supporting medical systems and becomes dependent on others. The families of patients face bankruptcy due to enormous medical expenses, loss of job of the patient and loss of earning potential of spouse or supporting family member. Many families in Kerala face terrible situation of a member falling ill as kidney patient. Many families and patients even commit suicide.
