Job Description

1. Working with AIX Logical Volume Manager, performing ODM deletion and replacement of disks from the volume group. Involved in day to day AIX Logical Volume Management. Performing UNIX AIX System Administration routines, migration, paging space and file system changes, mirroring, system booting and recovery, and logical volume striping.
2. Configured and managed the HMC, including users and permissions, software, startup and shutdown, remote access features, network configuration and private network configuration, security features, HMC backup and restore options, and the HMC disaster recovery. 
3. Performing SMP booting, error reporting and allocation of physical partitions from disks. 
4. Managing user logins- adding, modifying and deleting user accounts. Managing Disks and File Systems. Setting up local and remote printers. 
5. Involved in day-to-day troubleshooting for the end users on UNIX AIX based applications. 6. Responsible for Support and reliable maintenance of the applications running on AIX.
