Hi Amit,
PDC means Primary Domain Controller. Actually this term was mostly
used in Windows NT than in Win2K. In Win2K we make use of ADS (Active
Direcory Services).
To setup a PDC, I would recommend Mr Randhawa to make use of Samba
and make it as Domain Master. Then you can setup the Machine accounts
and make the machines (workstations) join the domain. Thereafter
anybody can use that machine to login while authentication is handled
by the Samba server.
This way you can apply policies, keep user profiles and use logon
scripts, as is what you can do with NT PDC. Also you can use OpenLDAP
for Win2K ADS.
