Hi all
it seems that the focus is shifted to some where else.
Through this forum some of the persons have been in
contact with me on phone and email for their (linux)
problems and issues. what I understand by observation
that there are many who want to see-in-action, learn
about linux, but cannot? They even have computer and
Linux CDs. Their computers are already loaded with
Windows and have no roam for another OS. They cannot
afford to delete windows for linux? Neither it is
possible for them to take backup of all the data and
make some space for linux. Dual-boot is all risky? we
can show them how to do that with linux tools and
methods!
I encourage to use DSL(.org) as a starting point to
newbies for learning shell and a brand new OS that
just fit in 49MB space **and** require no
??formatting-loading?? Runs within windows OR linux.
For me, it is classic treasure - I keep it in a pen
drive - carry it and just plug it in windows and start
opening tunnels to my remote computers and securly
work on them. I am well secure in any cyber-cafe -
immune to any spyware, keylogger! All passwords are
safe!
As clear that more and more people are building
internet communities, people will prefer to meet
people on the NET rather than on road or parks? No
istitution will allow people to come over there with
their PC for fixing it to make it usable for linux.
This is needed and at times I have to do that.
So we may meet at Prof. Anil Sarwal's place. he can
provide some place n facilities etc.
