I am very disheartened to observe that fc6 did not work for you. I hope
that you are not trying the "LINUX FOR YOU MAGAZINE" fc6 dvd.
Actually, on my system this fc6 is behaving quite normally. No crash so
far :-D
fact is that the lify dvd always has some fault. I have a good
experience with these dvds. I had also written to Mr. Niraj Saha about
this problem (Niraj Sahi is the one who writes emails to all the froups
explaining what is there in the latest release.) He has not responded so
far. Nevermind
Lify survives because of the distributions they bundle, and irony is
that they can not take care of their selling point.

BTW Ubuntu is a good distribution ofcourse. So it is a wise decision to
stick to that. But just in case you want to give fedora another try. Tru
using my dvd. after an updates of 200mb or so, things are pretty smooth.
