Hi to all,
My motherboard is Intel Original TS946GZIS. When i try to install
RHEL4 it just doesnot recognise my motherboard.
It just stops on PCI:Probing New Hardware and doesnot install RHEL4.
Basically it is not recognising my chipset when i give MEMTEST command
in the starting.
THEN SOMEONE SUGGEST ME:
While installing the RHEL4 type linux askmethod from the beginning.
I had already done this but the same problem persist.
I had gone through all the Intel site, they have given BIOS updates
for TS946GZIS motherboard which is mine, I had updated my BIOS also,
then i tried to install linux but all in vain.No benefits.
Plz tell me a solid way of installing Linux. It will install bcoz even
Intel has given all the drivers of Audio, Video, Graphics and LAN
drivers for this motherboard of Linux.
THEN I TRY THIS:
linux irqprobe all-generic-ide acpi=off
This one pays off, but :
1) Firstly the linux was installed really very slow.
2) Now when my system boots, and i start RHEL4, a black screen comes,
where it is written Kernel 2.6.9-11 compiled successfully... , the
cursor remains there and nothing happens.
3)Then i applied a third way with linux pci=nommconf, thought that
this would work but the problem remains the same.
4)My linux gets installed but now some Kernel problem is there.
Plz help me out , whts the root cause.
Thanx.
