RDP is a Windows server protocol. Are you trying to connect Linux
client to Windows or the reverse?

For connecting Windows client to Linux, you would not use RDP but an X
client, e.g. MinGW or Cygwin.
Cygwin should also allow ssh -X, which is the preferred secure usage
between Linux machines.
