Delivery
Project Executive
|
The
ITD Delivery Project Executive (DPE) owns the delivery of IBM’s contract
to the customer in his or her respective service area, in this case
Integrated Technology Delivery (ITD) Services. As such, the DPE owns
customer satisfaction in their account as a result of the delivery of
contractual commitments and SLA’s. The DPE additionally supports the PE
in expanding IBM business in the account. Senior Delivery Project Executives
would discharge delivery accountability for large contracts such as
Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, etc. Positions of lower seniority are also
available in smaller strategic outsourcing accounts where the scope of
IBM work is lesser.
Key
capabilities:
Must be a high energy individual with demonstrated
ability to lead a nationwide network of delivery resources, often
numbering hundreds, through an empowered core team of direct reports and
by matrix management of competency leaders.
An ability to understand and work successfully in a
matrixed environment, effectively managing ‘dotted-line’ reporting both
up-line and down-line. Should be influential and collaborative in
delivering results through matrix management not only from the delivery
teams but also from support functions like Finance, HR, Procurement etc
Sound understanding of P&L and budgeting. The
DPE is responsible for ensuring that proper cost forecasting and
monitoring is done to ensure that the account GP targets are met
Strong operational discipline, that translates into
compliance in terms of SLAs, budgets, process metrics, statutory and
other compliances.
Demonstrated
ability to influence management view, and successfully negotiate project
requirements with stakeholders, whether internal, customer, or third
party
Key ability to identify, develop and mentor
execution and leadership talent in the delivery team. Should lead by
example in continuously motivating the team towards delivery excellence.
Sound knowledge of key IT infrastructure
technologies - servers, storage, networks and security. Knowledge of
Telecom technologies at block level would be an added advantage.

Description in detail:
Ensures client needs are satisfied by constructing
partnerships between the Project Office, clients, vendors, and
subcontractor organizations, and managing the implementation of these
partnerships to ensure positive customer satisfaction.
Builds client satisfaction through formulation,
development, implementation, and delivery of application, technical, and
business solutions, responding to client requirements as specified in the
contract or Statement of Work (SOW).
Works with the Project Office and delivery organization
as a primary point of contact for client needs requirements and
expectations with regard to assigned IBM team operations.
Provides account leadership to the service delivery
team and direct teams to develop program, project, product, and business
strategies, implementing resulting solutions to meet contract
deliverables.
Manages contractual cost, schedule, and service or
product deliverables as they relate to the delivery organization.
Manages IBM resources and coordinates client
resources to deliver services and solutions to support the client
organization.
Supports the Project Executive (PE) in identifying
growth opportunities and contract profitability.
Owns quality for service provided by the delivery
organization and is responsible for tracking and reporting on service
level performance.
Demonstrates expert level knowledge across PM
methodology, emerging technologies and technical solutions pertaining to
client needs.
Must have the vision and the ability to influence
the clients' actions.
