Note :
The above age limit is relaxable for 5 yrs, 3 yrs & 10 yrs for SC/ST, OBC & Physically Handicapped candidates respectively as per GOI Rules/Orders.
For Post Nos.2005/23 to 2005/28, NPA @ 25% of Basic Pay subject to the condition that Pay + NPA does not exceed Rs.29,500/- per month shall be admissible as per existing rules.

Four years' full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from any recognized College/Institute/University, approved by AICTE, with not less than 65% marks in aggregate of all years/semesters, preceded by at least 60% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination. Departmental candidates of DVC who have passed AMIE Exam./equivalent in the respective engineering degree course with minimum qualifying marks may also apply.

Four year' full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/Power Plant Engineering from any recognized College/Institute/University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate of all years/semesters, preceded by at least 60% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination. Departmental candidates of DVC who have passed AMIE Exam./equivalent in the respective engineering degree course with minimum qualifying marks may also apply.

Four years' full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics & Tele-communication/Instrumentation/Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentation from any recognized College/Institute/University, approved by AICTE, with not less than 65% marks in aggregate of all years/semesters, preceded by at least 60% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination. The incumbent must have the knowledge of digital, microprocessor, integrated circuits, networking and CRT/HMI (Human Machine Interface) technology. Departmental candidates of DVC who have passed AMIE Exam./equivalent in the respective engineering degree course with minimum qualifying marks may also apply.

How to apply: Eligible and interested candidates can apply in the prescribed application format enclosing all necessary certificates/testimonials & application fee as mentioned in the General Guidelines, to the Director (HRD), DVC, DVC Towers(5th Floor), VIP Road, Kolkata-700054 for the Post of Director (Commercial) - Post No.2005/ 22 under (A) and for the rest of the posts under (B) & (C) to the Dy. Director of Personnel (Recruitment), HRD Dept.(5th Floor), DVC, DVC Towers, VIP Road, Kolkata-700054 or the Resident Manager, DVC, 74 Artisan Hostel No.1, 2nd Floor(HEC), Town Administrative Building, Post-Dhurwa, Ranchi within 9th January, 2006 superscribing the Post & Post No. on the envelope

General Guidelines:
Following documents are to be enclosed with the application
(1) Copies of all certificates/testimonials/documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer including those of educational & professional qualification, date of birth, experience, SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped Certificate (candidate who claim to belong to SC or ST or OBC or PH category, has to submit in support of his claim, an attested copy of the latest certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority specified by GOI Rules/Orders),the original copy of which is to be produced at the time of interview (2) A certificate issued by the competent authority of the College/University regarding the recognition of the respective stream and session of the Institution (from where the relevant degree course in engineering has been obtained) by the AICTE (3) Non-refundable Bank Draft/Pay Order of Rs.100/-(as application fee) for Post Nos.2005/22 to 2005/31 and Rs.75/- (as application fee) for Post Nos.2005/32 to 2005/34 should be purchased after the date of advertisement and drawn in favour of Chief Accounts Officer, DVC payable at Kolkata. Candidates should write their name, date of birth and the Post No. on the reverse side of DD/Pay Order. No application fee is required for SC/ST candidates on submission of attested copy of a latest Caste/Tribe Certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority specified by GOI Rules/Orders. (3) A self-addressed envelop of 10" x 4" size. (4) Two Passport size recent photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of which one should be affixed on the application in the space provided for and the other should be stapled with the application.

Application received after the closing date shall not be accepted.

MO/IPO or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. DVC shall not be responsible for any postal delay/loss intransit. No request in this regard will be entertained. Application received with less than required application fee will be rejected.

Corporation reserves the right to cancel the advertisement, modify the educational qualifications, and experience without assigning any reason, and any decision of the Corporation in respect of call letters for written test/interview is final & binding.

The period of experience prescribed may be relaxed by the Corporation at its discretion in case of SC/ST candidates.

Applications which are not in the prescribed form, without accompanied by required Bank Draft/Pay Order, two copies of photographs, attested copies of all required certificates/testimonials/mark sheets, necessary certificate from the College/University regarding approval of the respective stream/session of the respective engineering degree by AICTE, in respect of educational & professional qualification, experience, date of birth, caste certificate i.e. for SC/ST(latest valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed form in line with GOI Rules/Orders) and OBC (OBC status & non-creamy layer status certificate as per latest GOI Rules/Orders)
, Declaration, etc. will be summarily rejected.

Candidates serving with Govt. Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Body should apply through proper channel. In case of Advance Copy, the application must be accompanied with all attested copies of testimonials, two photographs & application fee should reach within the closing date. Candidates will be required to produce No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview positively.

No fare will be paid to candidates called for written examination. Candidates called for interview will be paid single to and fro Ist class railway fare for Post Nos.2005/22 to 2005/31 and IInd class railway fare for Post Nos.2005/32 to 2005/34 by shortest route from the correspondence address to the place of interview.

Separate application should be submitted for each post (along with all required materials), if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post.
