Delivery Project Executive

The ITD Delivery Project Executive (DPE) owns the delivery of IBM’s contract to the customer in his or her respective service area, in this case Integrated Technology Delivery (ITD) Services. As such, the DPE owns customer satisfaction in their account as a result of the delivery of contractual commitments and SLA’s. The DPE additionally supports the PE in expanding IBM business in the account. Senior Delivery Project Executives would discharge delivery accountability for large contracts such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, etc. Positions of lower seniority are also available in smaller strategic outsourcing accounts where the scope of IBM work is lesser.

Key capabilities:
        Must be a high energy individual with demonstrated ability to lead a nationwide network of delivery resources, often numbering hundreds, through an empowered core team of direct reports and by matrix management of competency leaders.
        An ability to understand and work successfully in a matrixed environment, effectively managing ‘dotted-line’ reporting both up-line and down-line.  Should be influential and collaborative in delivering results through matrix management not only from the delivery teams but also from support functions like Finance, HR, Procurement etc
        Sound understanding of P&L and budgeting. The DPE is responsible for ensuring that proper cost forecasting and monitoring is done to ensure that the account GP targets are met
        Strong operational discipline, that translates into compliance in terms of SLAs, budgets, process metrics, statutory and other compliances.
        Demonstrated ability to influence management view, and successfully negotiate project requirements with stakeholders, whether internal, customer, or third party
        Key ability to identify, develop and mentor execution and leadership talent in the delivery team. Should lead by example in continuously motivating the team towards delivery excellence.
        Sound knowledge of key IT infrastructure technologies - servers, storage, networks and security. Knowledge of Telecom technologies at block level would be an added advantage.

Job Description in detail:
        Ensures client needs are satisfied by constructing partnerships between the Project Office, clients, vendors, and subcontractor organizations, and managing the implementation of these partnerships to ensure positive customer satisfaction.
        Builds client satisfaction through formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of application, technical, and business solutions, responding to client requirements as specified in the contract or Statement of Work (SOW).
        Works with the Project Office and delivery organization as a primary point of contact for client needs requirements and expectations with regard to assigned IBM team operations.
        Provides account leadership to the service delivery team and direct teams to develop program, project, product, and business strategies, implementing resulting solutions to meet contract deliverables.
        Manages contractual cost, schedule, and service or product deliverables as they relate to the delivery organization.
        Manages IBM resources and coordinates client resources to deliver services and solutions to support the client organization.
        Supports the Project Executive (PE) in identifying growth opportunities and contract profitability.
        Owns quality for service provided by the delivery organization and is responsible for tracking and reporting on service level performance.
        Demonstrates expert level knowledge across PM methodology, emerging technologies and technical solutions pertaining to client needs.
        Must have the vision and the ability to influence the clients' actions.

A minimum experience of 17 years with at least 6-7 years in delivery / operations of Infra or AMS & people management /

Eligibility Criterion for this Position

1. Implies to all referred candidates for this Position / code, whose Offer Date is before June 15, 2009. Candidates  necessarily need to join ON or BEFORE 1st August 2009. It will not be applicable for any other hires other than a DPE.
2. Double Referral Bonus implies for selects from Band 8-10 and not apply for FTH.

Team Lead

As a Team Lead, You shall support Team and perform day to day Activity in account and be responsible for Implementation and support of  Windows  & Unix - (AIX) systems with respective OEM support . As a subject matter expert, you shall anticipate and resolve technical problems and provide expert knowledge to team of engineers. Managing the team members and issues. As a lead you shall address  technical / process requirements as per the customer requirement. Would be responsible for managing the team of helpdesk/service desk engineers as well for day to day operations.You will be required to ensures process compliance, use quality as a tool to improve customer satisfaction and enhance service delivery.

a. He should be responsible for the decisions that need to be taken on
A time-to-time basis with client concurrance.
b. He should be responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and
Coordinating the overall effort during activities.
c. He should be qualified as a Diploma /Bachelor Degree / B.E. / M.C.A from a reputed university.
d. He should have a minimum of 5-6 years experience.
e. Industry accredited certifications like AIX / SUN or certifications
On OEM products like UNIX, Linux would be preferable.
f. Sound knowledge of wintel based servers is also desired
g. server/Network operations experience with ITIL Processes hands on Knowledge /ITIL Certification
h. About 6-8 years of experience

He should have experience of managing the customer in similar capacity
Industry accredited certifications like MCSE, AIX, other certifications On OEM products like UNIX, Linux would be preferable.
Excellent communications, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Should have Good attitude and People handling /coordination Skills/Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

  • Go to the following link   https://bluepages.ibm.com/password/vendor/auth/login.wss?code=hr_globalopp
  • Enter your email ID and  " Intranet Password "
  • You will come to " Jobs at IBM "
  • Enter the GOM code in " Keyword Search "
  • Press " Search" Button .
  • You will get the Job Title as a result of your Search.
  • Select the Job Title  and click on it.
  • A detailed Job Description page comes up. Click on 'Refer a Friend' button at the bottom left of the page.
  •  Fill up form and submit his/her resume .
  • The candidate receives an email from IBM email id with a link to the tool
  • The candidate needs to complete his/her  profile in the page and submit in the tool
  • Only if the candidate does this submission will the HR team be able to take his/her CV forward as ERBP candidate

 




Source Credit based on Pay-the-scheduler Program

  • The source credit for IBM INDIA is based on a special program, Pay-the-scheduler
  •  As per this program, as a 1st step, the referrer will fill up the candidate details on the GOM for submission
  • The referred candidate will receive an email from IBM with a link to Global Opportunity Marketplace
  • The candidate is required to complete his/her profile in the GOM-page and submit it back to IBM
  • Only when the candidate submits his/her duly completed form, will the HR team be able to take the resume forward as an ERBP candidate


In the likelihood that the candidate has been contacted by multiple channels for the same position, it is important to identify the RIGHT SOURCE through which the candidate appears for the interview.
Pay the scheduler program helps IBM to provide the credit to the correct source in all such events. Based on this program, in addition to the above process :

  • When the candidate appears for an interview, they will be required to fill & sign an Applicant Source Form (ASF) with their complete details
  • On this form the Referred Candidate declares the Source through which the candidate has come to know of the opportunity available with IBM for attending the interview
  • Every candidate has to declare the Employee Name & Employee ID of the Referrer through which he/she has appeared for the interview
  • The referred candidate has to submit all the mandatory docs along with the signed ASF during the interview which cannot be changed/modified at a later date.
  • Please ensure that your referred candidate completes the details required on the ASF, basis which, the source will be accredited through which the candidate has been referred to IBM.


In case the candidate does not mention any of the two details required i.e. Referrers Name and Employee ID , the referrer will not be eligible to receive the ERBP-bonus .



We are happy to extend referral eligibility to all People Managers (Band 10 and below).
   
People Managers will be eligible to receive referral incentive, if and only if
1. They are not involved in the candidate selection process (as interview panelist)
2. They are not their referrals' hiring manager.
3. The candidate is not the Direct reportee of the referrer.
