STRATEGIC PLAN FOR LOK SABHA ELECTIONS 2009

• INCREASE THE REACH OF THE CAMPAIGN.

• MAKE IT MOST EFFICIENT FOR BETTER SUCCESS!

Plan Includes training camp for campaign managers & election co-
coordinators.

This document is a guide to a strategy for efficient campaign
management!

This unique and winning strategy was used by Barack Obama to become
the `President of the United States'.

Important points of this strategy:

 Communications with the voters.
 Political strategy to gain voter attention.
 Technology strategy to `Win' the Vote.
Communications strategy places the Voter (`You') – this `you' covers
all voters that the candidate wants to communicate with; at the
center of the political campaign.
Communication with the Voter should be informal & as a conversation;
it must NOT appear as a pre – written speech or a lecture.
Technology strategy is simple: Use all modern technology to grab the
attention of the voter AND keep the voter involved with the party /
candidate's message; at all times.
o Technology can be used to send the party / candidate message
across average of (4) lac voters per constituency, using the mobile
phone SMS mode.
o Added use is that of Internet
(email/chat/blog/website/interactive forums).
o Mobile & Internet can be effective in raising funds,
collecting email addresses, mobile numbers for direct messaging to
all voters, and to keep the voters attracted to the party/ candidates
message.
o Importantly; mobile messaging can be used to send the party /
candidate's correct message to the voters; without being dependent on
TV media.
o Technology can ensure a positive public opinion, raise the
party / candidate's profile, assure a larger voter turn-out on
Election Day AND is most cost effective.
