Ditto is the case with the NCP of Sharad Pawar, who on Wednesday
denied any possibility of his party joining hands with the BJP.

Pawar also rejected speculation that NCP leader P A Sangma had been
offered the post of Speaker of the Lok Sabha by the Vajpayee
government in return for its support in Parliament.

NCP sources here say that after having kept away from the BJP for two
and a half years, they would not like to get aboard the NDA bandwagon
when it is about to collapse.

The NCP would rather make a pitch for the emergence of a Third Front.
