New Delhi : in a major development in Delhi politics just five months
ahead of the assembly elections, Janata Dal (Secular), Rashtriya Lok
Dal (RLD), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Lok Janshakti Party and
Samajwadi Janata Party (SJP) today formed a 'Third Front' and said it
would contest all the 70 seats.

Claiming to have support of some Muslim organisations also, these
parties said Samajwadi Party (SP) and CPI would join in too as talks
are already on with SP President Mulayam Singh Yadav and CPI General
Secretary A B Bardhan.

The Third Front, whose coordination committee was formed today, will
be launched formally at a rally on Thursday which will be addressed
by leaders of all the constituents, JD-S Delhi President and MLA
Shoaib Iqbal and LJP national vice president Ramvir Singh Bidhuri
told a news agency.

The groundwork for formation of the Third Front was done four days
ago when LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan, NCP General Secretary Tariq
Anwar and RLD Chief Ajit Singh met here, Iqbal said.

The 'Third Front' will launch its election campaign on July one and
four former Prime Ministers - V P Singh, I K Gujral, H D Deve Gowda
and Chandra Shekhar -- will take part, Bidhuri said.

Claiming that the people of Delhi were yearning for the Third Front
as they were "fed up with both Congress and BJP", Iqbal said, "The
Front will maintain equi-distance with both these parties."

As per my introduction message to the Yahoo Group formed for NCP's mobilisation
of membership, nationwide and also to keep the members, most of whom are very
intelligent, well informed and/or have had adequate proximity to Politics, like
the one myself, Born 7th November 1941 (.i.e. approx 62 years old), I have been
in constant touch and closely observing everything that has been happening in
and with or about Congress, since 1969 and have had a close proximity to the
late Mrs Indira Gandhi, particularly from 1977(June 25) to 1984 (July), which
had been my last communication to her followed bya last meeting. I remember
having met you in the lobby of the-then Ashoka Hotel, which was perhaps your
regular pace of stay in New Delhi, even when you happened to be the Chief
Minister of Maharastra!

I am trying to send a copy of my "personal Resime"(Updated recently), so that
you may have some more ideal about my varioous field of activities, particularly
as a free lance for the last 36 years and widely travelled almost 40% if the
countriees of the World, oncludong to "Costa Rica" in 1986, when my family of
four were among the first seven Indians to have visited that country!

I am deeply concerned about your health, as I would like to recall the popular
saying,"Health is Wealth, but only when you lose either of them!.

I did know that only united secular forces, forming a third front could have the
best prospects of comig closest to majority in the next Lok Sabha elections. and
as I went through the above letter from our PARTY*S MODERATOR, that the positive
action is already being initiatedtowards that from today in New Delhi, coming
together of several prominent national parties and Srnior Leasers to wards
forming such a Platform is indeed very encouraging and absolutely one of the
most opprtune step at the appropriate time & venue!

As regards the future national Leader heading a ruling party and/or becoming the
party president and leader if the oarty in Lok Sabha, I can foresee good
prospects fir Yourself (provided you could take care of your health and continue
to maintain in in good condition!) and Mr. Arjun Singh of Congress, who could
very cleverly , strategically andwith his polical acumanship, get the better of
Mrs Sinia Gandhi to becimethe Leaaader of the Congress Party in the days to
come!

Lastly, I have beem very keen while having had informal meetings and discusions
with Shri Purna Sangma(Who also canniot be ruke out as a bright prospect for
becoming anybody any day!), but my indication to him , was that I would be
waiting for the appropriate time to write and meet you to explain my strategy
from now onwards by my wide experience and personal relationship, through close
proximity to the Politics in India, at all levels and with most of the NATIONAL
POLITICAL PARTY LEADERS all over the country, because of my stay in New delhi
for 26 years of my vital period of young-age!

If I get to meet you within next 6 to 10 days, I could personallu doscuss with
you in presence of a few seniour party leaders of NCP including Shri Purna
Sangma! It could be a meeting of great interest tome, as I propose ti be NCP's
"National Coordinator" to inter-act at the convenient and appropriate time t
rope in as many wise & far sighted leaders from most of the National Political
Parties, (including maximum from Congress), to Make NCP one of the foremost
National Party with wide popularity and recognition and know its own worth as a
"Party of the future" as Mr. Sangma also keeps his visionary rmark time and
again about NCP. Mr. Sangma, is wise, bright intellectually and one of the few
kind and good hearted politicians, who certainly deserves and would make sure to
get hsi own rewards in Politics in due course of time!

to hear from you , for a possible meting, if you may consider it so worthwhile
your precious time of about 30 ti 45 minutes on any day and time convenient to
you, with at least 3 days' notice for me?
