SUB: PLANET VENUS in Day TIME - Before the Sun sets.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #10 of 600 |
Dear Science And Astronomy Friends,

Now a Days Venus is in the Very good intensity of the Brightness(-
3.95 Mg). and in a most suitable Place (40+ Degree) to see from the
Earth.

TO DAY 15 th of May 2002: It was 19:15 GMT and Local time for LONDON
(51:30N, 0:10 W) as well. West Sky was bit cloudy (Black and white
BROKEN clouds) but with Clear patches of CLEAR SKY. Sun was on the
horizon waiting to set in about 30 minutes. with a colour full
western horizon. A gap of clear sky appeared and I saw a wonderful
planets in the western sky. sun was partially hidden in clouds and
VENUS was shining bright in the gape of clouds. Moon crescent was
little above (10-11degrees) and surprise Jupiter was seen little
above (7-8 degree) the moon crescent too. generally VENUS is visible
in day time but not the Jupiter, but this is strange both are visible
on either side of the Moon crescent. I was surprised to see Venus and
Jupiter both in presence of SUN & Moon. VENUS is still getting
brighter to Mg -4.0 on Sunday and -4.+ next coming days but its phase
will decrease. So this week is best to observe planets Naked eyed in
day time. and do not forget tomorrow before Sunset stay in shadow to
avoid sun bright ness and watch for the planets.

(Venus 86%, Mg -3.9, will increase to -4.0 on Sunday but phase will
decrease ; D=1.397AU from us R=.718 AU from sun)
(Jupiter -1.9Mg. D=5.8AU from us R=5.2 AU from sun)

Events for Wednesday 16 May 2002 (IST)-CONSIDER the LOCAL TIMES for
SUN SET and Planets timing too
06:14 Sun rises
09:14 Moon rises
**** Get ready for observation at 19:00 on wards. (KEEP IN MIND TO
CONSIDER LOCAL TIMES TOO)
On 16/may (Just 15 to 30 minutes before Sun set )Moon crescent will
be close to Jupiter (just above Jupiter) so it will be easier to
trace JUPITER in day time and also with view of VENUS below (about 18-
19 degree below the Moon crescent). Hope you do not miss the chance
to see the planets in a day-time.
****
19:29 Sun sets
20:35 Mercury sets
20:56 Saturn sets
21:30 Mars sets
21:45 Venus sets
23:01 Jupiter sets
23:15 Moon sets

If you have a good Eye and even No one can See that or tell you about
that, You can see a Venus in a Broad day light as it was seen before
in Dec. 1986. I have seem naked eyes. and if you want to see those
try for it.

Best way is to watch before the SUNSET (15-30 Minutes before the sun
set) so you make sure where to Look, and make the place (degree from
the Sun) where to see in the sky in relation to the sun. and then
follow that in day time next day onwards.

***ON 3JUNE VENUS & JUPITER CONUCTION***
