Dear Manoj,
Thank you putting light on the subject that our astronomy and science member
facing. I understand your views and the situation is more or less same since I
was a school student. and if it remains same we feel very sorry for that. some
one has to give some contribution to solve this. may be the manufacturers reduce
the overhead- cost and retailer to cut some profiting margin. and some
contribution by science institutions memberships and our group contribution and
recommendations co-operations. may be the reason that till 2004 VENUS transit -
some were still searching for the right optics and so many could not give any
contribution to the groups at that time and really it was a good efforts from
Delhi planetarium and Delhi JANTAR MANTAR. but was a poor contribution on the
subject - approximately negligible from our members. I wish look forward that
the condition do improve and we get good response for next mercury transit
contribution in next year.
