Comments: Regarding the concern expressed in some of the earlier
guest-book entries - firstly we would like to clarify that, for an observer, it
is necessary to be on the floor of the Ram Yantra platform, near the gnomon and
then estimate the centre of the gnomon shadow. However, yes, a large number of
people standing on a single sector of the foor would be detrimental to the
instrument. We did try and ensure that a limited number of people entered the
instrument at a time and also asked them to distribute themselves on different
sectors. However, when we were busy explaining the working of the instrument, it
did seem that many people were standing on a single sector. Better care will be
taken in future observations to ensure that this does not happen.However, for
observers it would be imperative to be on the floor. Thanks for the caution
expressed.

I do hope that you will also be of the opinion that the instrument was
meant for climbing all over and making measurements - and not
reprimand us for climbing on the floor of the Ram Yantra. ????
