your project is interesting. Probably you may use Matlab as a model building
tool. Once you have neural network toolkit with your matlab the rest is just the
application of your logic and common sense. To have a successful model run you
have to have a historical data on the river water quality, however your work may
not be that accurate unless you have a fairly long term data with you. So it is
critical in your work that you get as much historical data as possible, to set
your predictive trends.

it is quite possible that the river water quality doesn't remain consistent over
the year and changes seasonally or diurnally. So it is important to have a first
look at the water quality trends of hte river before you start building your
model and apply neural network.

I may assist you if at some stage you may require the combination of Neural
Network with Genetic Algorithm especially when you need to fine tune and
optimize your feeding parameters.

For you information I have developed a model using Genetic Algorithm for the
optimization of water quality monitoring stations in water distribution systems.

So as the first step you share the historical data and from there on we can
decide how to develop your model and integrate the tools available in Matlab.

started my PhD study program in the field of Environmental
Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology-
Pakistan. The title of my thesis is "Water Quality Assessment Model
of Mediterranean Sea along Gaza-Palestine". The main objective of my
