My husband is a Merchant Navy Officer and sailing since last 8 years.
Now he is with a Norwegian company as a Master. My husband left after
15 days of our marraige and never thought of the needs of his young
wife and her desires and expectations out of a married life. Anybidy
thought how we, the wives of sailing Merchant Navy Officers will live
without a proper company. What about our fulfilment of desires as a
young woman? Any suggesttions so that wives like me do not do
something unethical?

`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
From 15th September onwards, we will post approx. 10 links for online
advertisements (Rs. 1/- per ad*) and 2 links for online surveys (Rs.
5/- per survey*)
Your Monthly Income:
10 * 01 * 30 = Rs. 300/-
02 * 05 * 30 = Rs. 300/-
Total -- (1) Rs. 600/-
If we assume that you have 100 users under Level 1 (i.e. you have
referred 100 direct users to our site)
100 * (600 * 0.05) = Rs. 3000/-
Total -- (2) Rs. 3000/-
If these 100 users made other 100 users each, so total users under
you is 10,000 as Level 2
10000 * (600 * 0.01) = Rs. 60,000/-
Total -- (3) Rs. 60,000/-
So, by adding up those above totals (1), (2), (3), we get
Total -- (1) Rs. 600/-
Total -- (2) Rs. 3,000/-
Total -- (3) Rs. 60,000/-
Grand Total Rs. 63,600/-
So, as you can see your minimum income* could be of Rs. 63,600/- per
month just by reading mails and referring your friends and relatives
to our website.
There are great incentive programs too.
Sundar and Suraj, I think I am being caught up in a private exchange of
e-mails between you two. My involvement in the British Merchant Navy was as
a Deck Boy in 1949 who trained on the T.S. Vindicatrix, which was part of
the Gravesend Sea School, and was used between the years of 1939 and 1966 to
train boys entrants in the Deck and Catering grades. I am now the Site
Bosun of our TSVA Website The
school has long since closed and most of the
crew jobs in our Merchant Navy have now been lost to mariners from other
countries. If you read out Guest Book on our site, you will soon realise
that most of us have long given up the sea and are now retired.
Subdar,
Many thanks for yours, but unfortunatley us Vindiboys didn't have much in
common with the Engineering Dept. Ours was a seaschool which trained only
entrants to the Deck and Catering Grades. I don't know best you could find a
site dedicated to the fraternity, but I wish you well in your search.
Greetings,
I am a BE mech graduate and intend to join the merchant navy.
I came across several institutes (IMI, CMET) etc which offer training to
graduate mech engineers.
Wanna to know more on these institutes. infact want to talk directly to some
alumini.
Also want to know more about the exact nature of job for a junior engineer.
Some have told me negative stuff like illtreatment, undue harshness etc for
a junior engineer, are these true.
Please reply,
thanks,
Sundar
hello imax, re: your query how to join the merchant navy, if you are
in mumbai, there is a very good booklet named "how to join merchant
navy" sold at the bookstall - LBS nautical college - hay bunderm,
reay road, mumbai; OR the pavement stall under Blackie house-opp.
GPO, or the pavement bookstall at the udipi restaurant on the lane on
which seamans club is located in ballard estate. It is Superb and I
reccomend it. YOU can also download the application form for TS
Chanakya BSc nautical science 3 year course entrance exam (done after
12th std) which trains indians youth to join the merchant navy - at
Hello everybody!
Let me introduce myself.
I am Manuja Gupta from Pune. My brother is in the
Merchant Navy and he recently (that is on the 25th of
July) passed his Master's orals. So that now makes him
a Captain at the very young age of 30. The
photograph that you see on the main page is his when he was
small. So perhaps this is a dream come true!
This
club has been started for many reasons. I would like
to list them below:
1. I had been searching for
information on the Indian Merchant Navy scene. Sadly, there
is hardly any, if at all, information floating
around.
2. I want this club to be a gathering place, not
only for the shippies but also for their
families.
3. I want this club to be the sounding board for
your experiences. Do recount them here so the others
can benefit.
4. Let this be a place which can help
the families of shippies while they are
away.
I invite members to contribute to this club in the
following ways:
1. Add links of interest. This could be
any link you feel might be of help to the shippies
