Main Door – Prime importance in Vastu
According to vastu, the main door or entrance has been accorded
prime importance as it lets in or keeps out the vital life-giving
force that promotes health, wealth and luck.
Urja (energy) enters the house through doors and windows. However,
the front door of your house is where the major part of energy
enters and therefore this door plays an important role in
determining the flow of vibrations experienced by the household.
1.                  The door should open completely. Due to the shoe
rack or furniture behind the door in some of the houses, the
entrance is not able to open completely. In such a situation the
energy is not able to enter  in to the house completely. Such house
will have short supply of the required energy, which will lead to a
limited opportunities and poor luck to the occupants. Make sure that
your house open at 90 degree paving way to the energy to circulate
in without hindrance.
2.                  These house should not have cracking sounds from
hinges on opening of the main door. It is "Swar Vedha" according to
vastu. A sticky door may indicate that something is not working in
your life or that you feel stuck or irritated by something.
3.                  The entrance area should be neat and clean and
avoid having a dustbin in the entrance
4.                  Your main door should open in clock wise
direction. Door opening in anti-clock direction causes delay in
work,  slow progress and  difference of opinion among the family
members.
5.                  The main door should not have cracks. As per
vasthu sastra it is indeed very inauspicious to have the main door
in an unwelcoming condition.
6.                  The entrance door of the house should be larger
than the other doors entering the house.
7.                  When one enters the house, there should not be a
wall in front of the entrance. There should be a door that opens to
the next room or open space immediately after entering in to the
room.
8.                  Any shadow e.g. shadaow of tree, building etc.
should not fall on the main door.
9.                  The main door of the house should not be below
ground level.
10.              There should not be an underground tank, septic
tank, or canal under the main entrance. There should not be any
abandoned, wrecked buildings in front of the main entrance. Such
situations are highly inauspicious.
11.              It is good to decorate a house's entrance with
pictures or statues of Laksmi, Ganesh or  auspicious signs such as
OM or the Swastika.
12.              Inauspious pictures should not be on the door.
13.              Doors should have thresholds preferably mde in
marble or wood. Display two pair of auspicious laxmi steps on both
te side of threshold to invite laxmiji, a goddess of wealth.
14.              Shoes should not be kept in front of the door, but
to the side or in the shoe box.
15.              Anything connected with your religion, such as a
yantra, a Ganesh idol, a cross or scriptures from the Quran should
be placed above the front door.
It is auspicious to have main entrance in the north or east.
Wherever the entrance of any home or building is in the east, the
residents enjoy better health, increasing prosperity, and harmonious
relations with others; but wherever houses are facing south or south-
west, the opposite is the result.

Colours- How they affect your vastu

Interest in colour  dates back to the ancients in Egypt and India.
Many temples in Egypt were devoted to the chakras (energy centers)

Beam- Be careful of its ill effect

One has to be very careful about any overhead beam in the house. You
must get signal to be alert to this problem and understand the bad

North east corner. The boundry of the England is more towards North
& East directions- a positive directions to capture benefical
morning sundrays ,according to vastu.

Prosperity of America
Looking at the map of America, the country is more located towards
east side than west. Also the extention is more towards north east,
which is auspicious.  It has huge lakes in the north east location.
As one progresses towards North-East in United States of America the
land becomes richer and richer, it is found.
At the root of the progress and prosperity of the cities like New
York, London, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. are always the
benedictory principles of Vastu Shastra, it is found.



Prosperity of Mumbai

Mumbai, a rich port has a water body to its North – East. All major
lakes for drinking water are situated in the North east direction of
Mumbai. It has an atomic plant represting Agni (Fire) in the south
east of the Mumbai. Fire is a key factor in prosperity of any vastu
premises or location. It has more ocean in the West, the perfect
location for Vayu (Air).


Spiritual  prosperous India

In India, Slope is more towards east, which is auspicious. All
important rivers are flowing towards east, that is why country is
more rich in spirituality. Thousands of westerners flock to India
for spiritual enlightenment. India has the Himalayas in the North of
the country which is against vastu, thus there is lot of poverty in
the country. There is water in Southwest and southeast side of our
nation, thus we have to face the attacks of foreign empires & lot of
expenditure on defence.

Vastu for Education
Education is a lifelong pursuit. We never stop learning and growing,
even when we leave our school days far behind. Vastu can help
transform average but hard working students into high achievers.
Full potentials can be met and hidden abilities discovered. Below
are some vastu solutions  designed to help students academically:-
1. Study room should be located in the East, North East or
North of the House. These directions are most auspicious  for
student to concentrate better in their studies.
2. The placement of the study table is important. You should
place the study table facing East or North to ensure that while
studying the child is facing either of these directions. It isn't
advisable to keep the study table against a wall. There should be
open space in front of the child, which encourages fresh ideas and
approach and breaks the monotony of lengthy study sessions.
3. Student should sleep with his/her head towards the east.
4. Photo ot statue of goddess saraswati is much helpful to
student .
5. Study below the beam or the toilet of upper house should b
avoided.
6. Children's room should be vibrant and cheerful. The use of
colour like yellow, orange , green etc are highly recommended. Avoid
using  black & other dark colours in study rooms.
7. Use of pictures and painting should be used carefully in the
study room.  Galloping horse, a rising Sun, Running car etc. can be
displayed in the children room. Such pictures works as a energy or
booster for better performance in studies. Puzzles, pictures of sad
mood, pictures of war etc. should be avoided in this room.
8. Books should be placed in the bookshelves rather than above
the study table. It generates heavy pressure on student & creates
unnecessary stress.
9. Stationary should be in ready to use condition. Non working
pens, unsharpened pencils, torn books etc. creates negative
vibrations & should be attended immediately.
10. Use of saraswati Yantra on study table or near bed side is
auspicious for better concentration.

Most important:- vastu is not a substitute for hard work.
