77 years ago, on this day, 14 March 1931, the first Hindi talkie Alam
Ara was released and with this began the journey of Hindi Film Music.
The first Hindi film song, in Alam Ara, was "de de khuda ke naam par"
sung by Wazir Mohammed Khan.
