doston, Jubilee Jhankaar ke is ank mein ham aapki mulaaqaat karwa
rahe hain ek aise shaKhs se jo Vividh Bharati ke praacheentam shrota
hain, film sangeet ko sunne aur usko sangrahit karne ka shauk un par
ek deewaangee ki tarah sawaar hai. peshe se angrezee ke patrakaar
hain aur Khud bhi gungunaane ka shauk rakhte hain. to aaiye chalte
hain Civil Lines Allahabad ke us ghar mein jahaan par kuchh aise
durlabh 'film records' maujood hain jo shaayad Vividh Bharati ke
Khazaane mein bhi naheen hai! 'records' ke alaawa is shaKhs ki
smritiyon mein aisi jaankaariyaan maujood hain jisse shrotaa
chamatkrit ho jaayenge. in saahab ka naam hai V S Datta, aur inse
baatchit kee hai Kanchan Prakash Sangeet ne. to aaiye sunte hain.

Bharati parivaar ki taraf se aapko namaskaar!

VSD: meri taraf se bhi Vividh Bharati ko bahut bahut namaskaar! main
Vividh Bharati tab se sun raha hoon jab se yeh shuru huya tha, balki
main 'radio' sangeet tab se sun raha hoon jab se Delhi
se 'programmes' shuru huye the. ki jab sab log daawaton par chale
jaayen, main ghar pe dilli ke farmaaishi kaaryakram sunne ke liye
ghar par baiTha rehta tha (KPS laughs), isliye mujhe bahut saari
puraani yaaden hain 'radio' ke saath.

KPS: lekin Datta saahab, mujhe yeh bataaiye ki 'radio' jo aap sunte
the '38 mein, 40s ke dashak mein, to us 'radio' se jo 'broadcast'
honewaale 'programmes' the, woh aur baad mein 3 October 1957 se jo
Vividh Bharati ki shuruwaat huyi, to Vividh Bharati ka rang Dhang hi

VSD: dekhiye, woh jo hamein apnaapan lagaa tha ki Delhi Radio
ke 'programme' ghar ghar pahunch jaate the kyunki aur koi 'station'
naheen tha, aur dilli ke 'programme', jaise farmaaishi 'programme'
sunne ke liye log beqaraari se door door se 'radio' ke paas pahunch

bahut ajeeb lagaa, Dar lagaa ki Vividh Bharati ne shuru to kiya hai
lekin pataa naheen kitne din chale kyunki un dino bahut saKhtee thi
ki film sangeet 'radio' par na bajaaya jaaye jab ki woh 'melody era'
thi. mera jo patrakaarita tha usmein maine yahi liya tha ki 'radio'
par film sangeet ko band na kiya jaaye kyunki filmi sangeet ko yeh
naheen haTaa sakenge, itna hi mushkil hai ki jitna 'tooth-paste'
ki 'tube' mein 'tooth-paste' waapas Daalna mushkil hai (KPS laughs
loudly). aisi 'simily' maine dee thi. to Akashvani se tab filmi geet
naheen bajte the kyunki filmi 'producers' se abhi 'contract sign'
naheen huya tha.

KPS: jahaan tak ki jaankaari hai ki us waqt ke jo 'minister' the,
unko 'classical music' se bahut zyaada lagaav tha...

KPS: aur woh naheen chaahte the ki aisa 'pollution' aa jaaye. isiliye
Vividh Bharati ke jaisa koi 'channel' ho jispar filmi geet bhi bajnaa
shuru ho jaaye, aise Vividh Bharati ki shuruwaat huyi.

VSD: haan, aur Vividh Bharati ki shuruwaat huyi, aur bahut zor shor
se shuruwaat huyi. jo Hindi film sangeet ke premee the, unko lagaa ki
ekdam se bahaar aa gayi, veeraane mein bahaar aa gayi, Vividh Bharati
ne yeh kaam kiya tha. 'radio' ka ek bahut baDaa 'role' hai, aur akele
Vividh Bharati, mere Khayaal se to akele Vividh BHarati woh 'role'

banee. to oorjehan-ji ka yeh gaana bahut 'hit' huya tha, Lahore mein
yeh 'picture' bani thi, (sings) "tu kaun si badli mein mere chaand
hai aaja, taare hain mere zaKhm-e-jigar inmein samaa jaa".

us samay ke kendriya griha mantri the, woh wahaan aaye aur wahaan xxx

Pant-ji chale gaye, aur wahaan ke jo kaaryakram the unhone koi naheen
sunaa, unko bas Allahabad University ka yaad reh gaya, kyunki woh

VSD: ek main aapko aur dilchasp baat bataata hoon. Naushad saahab ke
baare mein kaha jaata hai ki woh 'classical music' diya karte the, jo
sahi baat hai. magar Naushad saahab ne aapke Vividh Bharati mein bhi
jo kaaryakram kiya, Sharda ke baad woh Baiju Bawra pe aa gaye the,
unhone beech ka 'portion' bilkul gol kar diya tha. ab main aap se
kehna chaahoonga ki us beech ke 'portion' mein unhone aise gaane
gaaye jo bahut saste the. ek mere paas hai, jo aap chaahen to lekar
shrotaaon ko sunaayen to bahut achchha lagegaa. ek Charlie hota
tha 'comedian', unhone Charlie 'comedian' se gaana gawaaya aur gaana
aisa tha, (sings) "arey palaT tera dhyaan kidhar hai bhaai", aur yeh
film shaayad Sanjog.

san 1946 ka gana, 45-46 ka gaana, aur abhi aajkal filmon mein 'ae
maamu', jaise jaise woh...

VSD: haan, nakal hai. dekhiye yeh to Naushad saahab ne aapko Vividh
Bharati mein hi bataaya tha ki woh jo gaana hai "jaadu nagari se aaya
hai koi jaadugar", uski 'tune' mere geet se nakal kee huyi hai. woh
jo ek film thi Namaste, uska ek 'tune' main aap ko bataayun,
(sings) "dil na lage mora man na lage, 'neck-tie'waale baabu ko bhi
laate koi re.... jaadu nagari se aaya hai koi jaadugar". to yeh
namaste film aayi thi 1941 vagerah mein, aur CID aayi baad mein,
kuchh 12 saal baad mein, woh Nayyar saahab jo hain, jaisa ki Naushad
saahab ne kahaa ki 'mera gaana 'lift' kiya gaya hai'.

VSD: iska jo hai Punjabi film Lachhi se 'lift' kiya gaya tha. aur
Lachhi mein jo hai isko Mohd Rafi saahab ne gaaya tha aur bahut
behatareen gaana tha, main aapko uski ek 'line' sunaata hoon

KPS: jee jee

VSD: (sings) "jagwaala melaa yaaron thoDi der da, hans de ya raat
langi pataa nahi saver da...". yeh gaana peechhe reh gaya aur woh
gaana aage nikal gaya. isi tarah se aur bhi gaane the jo Punjabi mein
the. ek gaana tha jise Noorjehan ne gaaya tha, (sings) "huk meri
kismat so gayi jaago huzoor re", isey phir film Chhoti Bhabhi mein
Husnlal Bhagatram ne 'lift' kiya, (sings) "Khushi ka zamaana gaya
rone se ab kaam hai, pyar iska naam tha judaai iska naam hai..." to
aise log dhun ek doosre ki 'lift' karte aaye hain.

kahaa ki 'huzoor maine socha ki usi dhun ko thoDaa sa badalkar dekhen
to kaisa lagegaa'. par uske baad Madan Mohan ne kahaa ki 'maine aisi
