ke sahaayak bane, pehle Lahore mein aur baad mein Mumbai aane ke baad
bhi. 1947 mein baTwaare ke baad Ghulam Haider chale gaye Pakistan aur

mein shumaar hota hai is geet ka. Vividh Bharati ke ek 'interview'
mein Mubaraq Begum ne is geet ka zikr kiya tha:

Mubaraq Begum speaks: (translated) “At that time all other singers
were heavily booked and no one had time. Amrohi saahab told me that I
would be singing all the songs. “devata tum ho mera sahaara†was the
theme song of the film that I sang in solo. I sang some 6 or 7 songs,
Talat Mahmood was the male singer and Asha Bhosle sang one song.†“I
had sung this song with him (Rafi). He was happy with my singing. At
first he was unhappy as he had too few lines to sing in this song. I
told him, "Rafi saahab, you get to sing in every film, so even if you
are given a small part in one song it shouldn’t matter you much. Then
he said, “no, no its all right, I was just jokingâ€. Rafi saahab was a
very noble man; he never used to make fun of others. There were many
singers who would make fun of you while you are singing and make you
nervous.â€

rupees, which used to be a big amount in those days. But he did not
allow me to sit and play in the final recording, as I was very young
at that time. I felt sad that I was not allowed to be a part of the

print media, he/she may contact me. This is tough but not impossible.
If there can be so many film mags like Filmfare, Stardust, Screen

mere ghar mein khaana banaake ke liye 'cook' hai, mahaaraaj, par main
