AB: namashkaar! aaj bahut dino ke baad mein All India Radio ke 'microphone' ke saamne baiTha huya hoon, aur ye 'programme' shuru hone jaa raha hai, jiska hamne sheershak rakha hai RASIKESHU. yah sanskrit shabd hai, matlab hai 'rasikon ko samarpit'. main chaahoonga ki Vividh BHarati jis gaane se shuru huya tha, usi gaane se is 'programme' ko shuru karen to kaisa lagega?

This is very important stuff and I have started a news blog on such artistes, music directors, lyricists, singers etc who worked for even single film but not much people are aware of them. I have used this  on my blog

Moving forward in the series of lesser heard composers I now would like to put
forward the name of Ameer Ali.

He gave music for three films altogether. They were Pagli (1943), Naya Tarana
(1943) and Panna (1944). Pagli had three more Music Directors along with him
viz, Jhande Khan, Rashid Atre and Pandit. Govindram.' Naya Tarana' was Poona
based Navyug Company's film. Most of the songs were sung by Snehprabha Pradhan.
On searching for songs online I found these ones listed under Naya Tarana:

Her name was Mumtaz, and my father was a kalaakaar, and he gets married to a beautiful gaaon ki laDki, and he was a painter. to usko jab shahar mein laate hain to shahar ki 'society and environment' ko dekh kar uski aankhen jo khul jaati hain, wo apne aap ko rok nahin sakti aur main ek 'playboy' kism ka 'character' tha, Shammi Kapoor.

SK: aur bhi hain Shankar Jaikishan ke gaane, haan, aur ek jo gaana mujhe pasand hai, wo isliye pasand hai kyonki uske saath meri bahut saari yaaden juDee huyi hain, Pagla Kahin Ka ek 'picture' thi, usak ek gaana hai "tum mujhe yun bhula na paaoge", (sings) "jab kabhi bhi sunoge geet mere, sang sang tum bhi gungunaaoge. ..."

SK: Rafi saahab, matlab, agar Rafi saahab na hote to main 'incomplete' hota. aur unke saath hone se meri tasveer poori ho gayi. unhone mujhe 'style' diya, jaisa main samajhta hoon ki Rafi ko 'style' O P Nayyar ne diya. Rafi saahab was a very good singer, classical singer hain, kya kya gaane gaaye hain, aur kya unki 'pitch' hai. lekin ek 'style' jo hai wo Nayyar ne unhe diya. And Rafi saahab used all those for me beautifully. He was very receptive to, jaisa ki main chaahta tha. jaise ki main ek gaane ke liye, haalaanki main bahut saare gaane ke liye yahaan naheen tha, Paris mein tha, unhone ek gaana meri Gair haaziri mein 'record' kiya, jab maine wo gaana wahaan sunaa to main dang reh gaya ki yeh gaana unhone kaise aise 'record' kar liya! jab main waaps aaya to unse maine poochha ki Rafi saahab, aapne ye gaana aise kaise gaa diya? mujhe jaise chaahiye tha, jaise maine socha tha, waise hi aapne gaaya, yeh bataaiye kaise gaaya? bole ki "paapa, maine bas socha ki SHammi Kapoor yahaan pe kee karegaa! o Shammi Kapoor haath aise phailaega, Shammi Kapoor Taang itthe philaaega, Shammi Kapoor aing karke gir jaavega, to main waise hi gaana gaata raha'. Hi,

Does it mean that the labels on the records are incorrect? Or Rajkumari had
actually sung for the gramophone record version as in those days songs were
recorded twice. Like several songs of Anil Biswas were sung by Meena Kapoor in
the film, but Lata's voice appeared on the gramophone records.

Moving forward in the series of lesser heard composers I now would like to put
forward the name of Ameer Ali.

He gave music for three films altogether. They were Pagli (1943), Naya Tarana
(1943) and Panna (1944). Pagli had three more Music Directors along with him
viz, Jhande Khan, Rashid Atre and Pandit. Govindram.' Naya Tarana' was Poona
based Navyug Company's film. Most of the songs were sung by Snehprabha Pradhan.
On searching for songs online I found these ones listed under Naya Tarana:

In Chandigarh, Can you believe on sundays, SMS Ke Bahaane programme is relayed from 12 to 12:15 and again from 12:30 to 12:45, as they have some local sponsored programs. I have stopped tuning to Chandigarh, instead I tune in to FM Shimla which broadcasts VB without any ads & local programmes.

Hi,

In Chandigarh, Can you believe on sundays, SMS Ke Bahaane programme is relayed
from 12 to 12:15 and again from 12:30 to 12:45, as they have some local
sponsored programs. I have stopped tuning to Chandigarh, instead I tune in to FM
Shimla which broadcasts VB without any ads & local programmes.

Sudarshanji, your P-DTH concept is really nice.

Upto some extent it is not bad and can be adjusted if important prog like Aap ki Farmaish, Chhayageet, Bhoole Bisre Geet etc etc are broadcasted on FM. Programmes in local language also need to be popularised. So wait for the day to come when pocket DTH are available. Till Then .....
